This expansion adds new unit types, including Crossbow Infantry, Foot Knight Infantry, Turcopole Light Bow Cavalry, Heavy Knight Cavalry, and Heavy Military Order Knight Cavalry, each with unique battlefield roles. New mechanics such as Impetuous Pursuit, Feigned Flight, Shower Shooting, and Charging Cavalry movement enhance the tactical depth of the game while maintaining the familiar Commands & Colors mechanics of command cards and battle dice.
The battlefield scenario maps emphasize historical terrain and deployments, allowing players to experience the strategic challenges faced by both the Crusaders and their Mid-Eastern adversaries.
